I also like how you point out that Jesus is never shown &quot;parading his godly superiority over us&quot;. Nowhere does he say, &quot;Can&#039;t you see how perfect I am? Why aren&#039;t you perfect too?&quot; Instead he offers a new covenant of life in him, the only true (or authentic) life there is, and he&#039;s the one who&#039;s going to do all the living for us and through us.

Thanks for the rest of the book review, and thanks for reminding us about Jesus&#039; good news.
